Welcome to The Transmasc Library!

The archive that celebrates transmasculinity throughout history

About

The Transmasc Library is an unofficial archive thrown together by a college student who decided he wanted something to do this summer (2025). It aims to have a collection of entries of trans men/transmascs from all over the world, across all time periods.

Ultimately, the goal is to have a place people can go when they want to learn more about trans history, specifically transmasculine history, and to educate on the hardships trans men/transmascs have endured going back hundreds of years.

Due to the erasure that covers most history books like an old infection, there will be many people who would've earned a place in this archive, if only we were allowed to know about them. This archive is for the people who rose from the shackles of transmasc invisibility, and mourns those who weren't so fortunate.

If you're writing anything that requires a Bibliography/Works Cited page:

DO NOT CITE THE TRANSMASC LIBRARY!

The Transmasc Library is something similar to Wikipedia: An organized place where you can find summaries of all the known information on a topic. Both sites are great when doing the first steps of your research, but should not be cited: They aren't sources, they are a collection of sources. Huge distinction.

I have a list of sources at the bottom of every entry; you'd be better off reading those and then citing them instead.

P.S. Do not copy and paste the list of sources! I'm not using a professional format!
